  • Multidimensional. The rankings take multiple dimensions into consideration: Institutional popularity, degree diversity and affordability.

The e-Uniguide™ Methodology

There are three dimensions that form an Educational Institutions score:

Popularity: Through analysing results from Alexa, Google and other sources, the e-Uniguide™ popularity factor scores an Institution’s global online presence. Distance learning utilises the internet for core academic activities; whilst a higher online presence does not guarantee better reputation, an Insitution’s popularity score is an indication of its global reach, online content and academic activity. Popularity makes 50% of the score.

Degree diversity: A second algorithm is used to calculate an Institution’s degree diversity, based on the number of qualifications it offers at each level (undergraduate, graduate, post-graduate, doctorate). Degree diversity is important for continuous development and career progression and an indicator of the institution’s investment in distance learning. It makes up 35% of the score.

Affordability: Tuition fees may vary widely between Institutions. Maintaining low fees makes a qualification accessible to a wider group of prospective students and promotes learning. Affordability makes up 15% of the score.
